sees the deterioration of the relationship between Jews and blacks in
his own Brooklyn community and is active in bridging that gap. He frequently
speaks about his experiences as a black, Jewish man at local synagogues
and shares his transformation with the younger generation at city schools.
He hopes his book will help educate and build a stronger community between
Jews and blacks and foster greater acceptance and sensitivity in society
